Storm Team4 is in weather alert mode Friday as the D.C. area received steady rain, sharp wind chills and even some wet snow.

“First time we’ve had snow before Thanksgiving in six years,” Meteorologist Chuck Bell said.

"I give today a two out of 10," Bell said.
The cold and wet weather will continue for the rest of the day.
With wind chills in the mid-20s and 30s and highs only reaching the low 40s, it's feeling more like January than November. That makes Friday the coldest day since mid-February. Plan to bundle up if you go out Friday evening.
Weather radar: When to expect snow or rain in the DC area
Unfortunately for snow fans, we didn't exactly see a winter wonderland: It wasn't cold enough for snow to stick to the ground.
Morning snowflakes were seen in Montgomery County, Loudoun County and many parts of D.C., but everyone around the metro area got more rain than snow.
By the evening commute, any snow has changed over to rain.
Thanksgiving forecast
The weather will improve for the weekend and the getaway days leading into Thanksgiving.
The weekend will be blustery but seasonable, with temperatures just a couple of degrees below the average high of 56.
Thanksgiving and Black Friday still look cold and wet. A more significant cold snap will arrive for the weekend after Thanksgiving, keeping temperatures at least 10° below average for the first week of December.
