A storm system is bringing steady rain to the D.C. area and pockets of heavy rain are possible.
Storm Team4 says there could be some rumbles of thunder and gusty winds. Rain will continue to fall over the entire area overnight.
Most parts will have under an inch of rain, but some isolated areas could see up to 2 inches.

Things will start to clear up early Wednesday morning between 4 and 6 a.m.
Wednesday will be pleasant overall, with clouds giving way to increasing sunshine, breezy winds and highs in the 70s. Storm Team4 says it will be a great day to get outdoors and get fresh air, whether it be for exercise or dining out.
Thursday will be another spectacular autumn day with highs in the 70s and plenty of sun.
