Just because school is virtual doesn’t mean there are no snow days.
A number of school districts canceled classes Monday and declared snow days, while others will continue virtual learning as planned.
D.C. Public Schools will be all-virtual, without a snow day. Virtual learning also will continue in Prince George’s County, with dismissal two hours early.
Anne Arundel, Culpeper, Falls Church City, Fauquier, Loudoun, Prince William County and Spotsylvania schools will be closed Monday and all virtual classes are cancelled.
Fairfax County Public Schools students will not get a snow day; virtual learning will continue as planned on Monday, the district announced. Any extracurricular activities and appointments for in-person assessments are cancelled, as well as middle school after-school programs, professional learning and training courses.
Montgomery County Public Schools will be open and virtual instruction will continue, officials announced. MCPS will continue to monitor weather conditions and will provide an update by 5 a.m. Monday.
Calvert County schools will follow normal, virtual schedules. Internet cafes, though, will be closed. Virtual instruction will continue as scheduled in Howard County. Evening activities and community programs in school buildings are cancelled.

In St. Mary’s County, instruction will begin two hours late.
Arlington County and Stafford County school buildings will be closed and teachers will work remotely. Students already were scheduled to be off for a staff development day.
Manassas City Public Schools will be closed Monday. Page County schools will be closed as well, and Bowie State University will hold classes virtually.
