Storm Team4 Forecast: Dry weekend cooldown kicks off November

Storm Team4 has the weather forecast for D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia

NBC Universal, Inc.

4 things to know about the weather

  1. Saturday is day 31 without measurable rainfall at DCA. The record is 34 days
  2. Cooler temperatures for Saturday and Sunday
  3. Clocks fall BACK one hour overnight, returning to Eastern Standard Time early Sunday morning
  4. Record-breaking heat is possible next week

After unseasonably warm temperatures on Halloween and Friday, a cold front turned the southwest wind back around to the northeast. And with no real rain as that front passed, the all-time record run of 34 dry days in a row looks to continue into next week.

The good news for fall weather is that clearing skies, plus cooler, drier air, will return temperatures to average for the weekend.

Saturday morning will be in the chilly mid-40s and there could be some scattered frost on Sunday morning for areas North and West of Dulles.

The warm air will return on Monday and afternoon highs will get back to around 80° next Tuesday on Election Day and Wednesday.
