4 things to know about the weather
- Very chilly morning
- Chance for isolated showers
- Milder weekend
- Dry stretch after today
Grab the jackets this morning. You will notice the temperature drop as you head out the door. After a chilly morning, temperatures will only rise into the lower 60s.
There is a chance for an isolated shower during the second half of the day. Most of us will stay dry under a mostly cloudy sky.
There are frost advisories in Northern Virginia and Maryland until 8 a.m. Tuesday morning. Some areas west of the D.C. metro area will have freeze warnings until 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
We continue to be cool the rest of this work week, especially in the mornings. Temperatures rebound this weekend, back into the 70s. Next week is looking nice and mild with plenty of sunshine.
Chilly temperatures to come this week
For the rest of the week, the weather in the D.C. area looks pretty dry.
That breeze will stay up for Tuesday and Wednesday so highs on those days will stay in the 50s - far more typical for the second week of November than the middle of October.
Temperatures will warm up a bit on Saturday and Sunday with expected highs in the 70s with sunny skies.
