Storm Team4 Forecast: Return to dry, breezy weather after wintery Friday

Storm Team4 has the weather forecast for D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia

NBC Universal, Inc.

4 things to know about the weather

  1. Drier with breezy conditions today.
  2. Milder and dry for the COMMANDERS game tomorrow.
  3. Rain expected Monday night & early Tuesday, quiet travel forecast for Wednesday.
  4. Rain expected on Thanksgiving (Thursday).

After nasty Friday weather and the first snowflakes of the season, the forecast is back to business as usual in the DMV.

The snow was short-lived in parts of the area on Friday morning, and after an evening of only rain, Saturday morning is bone-dry. Clouds may move through the region over the course of the morning.

Despite breezes throughout the day, you don't need to bundle up as much this weekend as on Friday morning. Temperatures will climb back into the low 50s on Saturday afternoon.

Thanksgiving week forecast

The weather will stay solid for the getaway days leading into Thanksgiving.

Sunday will have even more sun and less wind with highs reaching the upper 50s.

Monday will be sunny and mild. Clouds, and a small rain chance, will return on Tuesday. Wednesday will be chilly and dry.

Thanksgiving and the day after still look cold and wet. A more significant cold snap will arrive for the weekend after Thanksgiving, keeping temperatures at least 10° below average for the first week of December.
