NBC Universal, Inc. Storm Team4 has the weather forecast.

4 things to know about the weather

  1. Frost and freeze alerts this morning
  2. Feeling more like November
  3. Gorgeous and warmer for the weekend
  4. Mild and dry next week

If you thought Tuesday was chilly, Wednesday has it beat! Just like Monday and Tuesday, grab a warm jacket before you head out Wednesday morning.

Frost advisories and freeze warnings are in effect to the west of the D.C. metro area through the mid-morning hours, with temperatures starting out in the 30s and low 40s.

After a cold start, expect a mix of clouds and sunshine with a bit of a breeze. Highs will again only warm to near 60º. That's 10 degrees below normal!

It will continue to feel more like November than October through Thursday morning with frost and freeze alerts likely again.

Looking ahead to a pleasant weekend

Friday and the weekend will be fantastic with highs around 70 degrees and plenty of sun. Looking ahead, next week looks mild with highs well into the 70s by mid-week.

The 10-day forecast does not have any rain chances.
