Snow showers are expected to begin late in the day on Sunday, and snow will continue into Monday. There could be a period of mixed precipitation, including sleet and freezing rain. This wintry mix would lower snow totals, but still could slow travel and cause other issues. Slick or icy roads and sidewalks, reduced visibility are concerns. Wet snow and freezing rain could bring down branches, trees or power lines.
Any wintry precipitation that falls early next week will likely stay frozen, or possibly melt then refreeze, with a very cold week ahead.
