Thursday's rain ended up being a little less than hoped for but it was still better than nothing. Most of the area received around a quarter-inch instead of the half-inch the forecast models had advertised.
Rain will continue to impact the area for the first part of your Friday. Off-and-on showers will gradually diminish by the end of the morning commute and the entire area should be dry this afternoon and evening.

Weekend weather and next week's forecast
Dry weather will last through the weekend and into the middle of next week.
Afternoon highs this weekend will reach the low-60s. Saturday will have more sun and a blustery northwest wind. Sunday will have less wind but more cloud cover.
Monday will be dry and near 70° before a cooler pattern starts to take shape. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday next week will come with rain chances and temperatures near 50°.
Tropical Storm Sara will greatly impact Central America over the next few days. Rainfall up to 30 inches will be possible in Honduras, Belize and northern Guatemala. Significant flooding and landslides are likely from Friday into Sunday afternoon. The National Hurricane Center has more information.
