Tuesday will be the last day we will have to deal with the remnant moisture from Helene.
Much like we endured Monday, periods of light rain and drizzle will be with us throughout the day ahead. There may still be one or two bursts of heavy rain but rain totals Tuesday are likely to remain at 1/4 inches or less for the vast majority of the area.
A slow-moving cold front will come through Wednesday and finally give Helene the shove offshore. The front will leave us with another cloudy day and the chance for a passing sprinkle or two.
All this cloud cover will keep temperatures below 70° Tuesday and near 70° Wednesday.

Look forward to a dry weekend
Our skies will begin to brighten on Thursday afternoon as a drier pattern begins. Most areas will reach the low 70s on Thursday and the mid-70s on Friday.
The best part of the forecast remains the weekend. Dry weather and daytime highs near 80° on Saturday and Sunday. That dry pattern will continue into next week.
The tropics remain active and will need to be watched. There's no immediate concern or threat to the U.S. mainland.
The Hurricane Center is following a tropical wave in the Caribbean that has some potential to develop by early to mid-next week in the Gulf of Mexico.
