Periods of light rain that arrived late Friday evening will continue throughout the day Saturday and into Sunday.
Even with the clouds and rain, temperatures Saturday will steadily climb through the 40s and should get above 50° by Saturday evening. Rain totals Saturday will be around 1/4" to 1/2".

Commanders game forecast
A surge of much warmer air will bring a soaking rain to the area Sunday. South winds of around 15 mph all day will push temperatures above 60°, with a steady rain falling for most of the day. If you're going to the Commanders game Sunday night, bring your best rain gear. Gametime temperatures will be in the mid-50s.
The rain will linger into Monday morning, but there should be a period of dry weather from Monday afternoon through about noon Tuesday, with highs in the mid/upper 50s both days.
New Year's forecast
Showers still look likely for New Year's Eve.
A drier pattern will return for New Year's Day, followed by steadily falling temperatures. Highs should still be near 50° for New Year's Day.
On Jan. 2, expect a high of 40°, followed by highs in the 30s for Jan. 3-5.
