Storm Team4 Forecast: Tracking colder temps, then potential for wintry mix and snow

Storm Team4 has the weather forecast for D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia

NBC Universal, Inc. Storm Team4 has the weather forecast.
  1. Cold, dry, sunny Thursday
  2. Winds diminish, still gusting from the NW 20 – 30 mph
  3. Temperatures remain below average
  4. Chances for light snow/mix on Friday with an increasing probability of accumulating snow falling on Monday.

If you got new gloves or a scarf for a holiday present, it’s time to show them off.

Winter chills are back in the D.C. area after a mild New Year’s – and snow is in the forecast.

Thursday morning brings temperatures in the 30s, but winds will make it feel chillier. Expect highs in the low 40s with plenty of sunshine and a breeze.

Temps will continue to fall in the near future. We’re also keeping an eye on storms that could bring snow.

Storm Team4 is tracking a potential wintry mix on Friday that could slow the afternoon commute.

Snow is also possible from late Sunday to early Monday. Freezing overnight temperatures make snow likely, but it’s too early to say how much.

Next week will be cold with highs in the 30s.
