D.C.’s Pride Month celebrations could be bigger than ever in 2025 as the District prepares to host WorldPride.

World Pride 2025 will be held in D.C., and we’re learning more about the big events.

District leaders are mourning Bernie Delia, one of the founding members of Capital Pride Alliance, after he passed away Friday. Delia joined the board in 2008 and served as president for six years. 

People gathered for food, drinks and time with advocacy organizations, all showing support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The Capital Pride Festival and Concert will take place on Pennsylvania Avenue in D.C. from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. News4’s Dominque Moody talks to Saturday’s Capital Pride Parade attendees.
