A federal judge rejected Boeing’s deal with the Justice Department to plead guilty to a criminal fraud charge tied to fatal crashes of 737 Max planes.

Boeing machinists walked off the job on Sept. 13 after overwhelmingly rejecting an earlier proposal.

Boeing said it will lay off about 10% of its workforce as losses deepen from an ongoing factory strike.
