Ladies and gentlemen, time to break out the Lacoste!
So you couldn't make Wimbledon this year. We know your little embroidered alligator friends are bummed, but donβt get TOO down. Just check out the Washington Kastles in a World Team Tennis Match (WTT) match. WTT is a chance for you to see the very best in professional and recreational tennis without having to hop on a plane to New York, England, France ... you get the picture. A Metro ride is a whole lot cheaper.
And unless you have to transfer at Metro Center, it's also a lot faster.
During the three-week season (July 3-22), 10 national teams will be vying for the King Trophy. If competition isn't your thing, here's your chance to spend an evening watching some of the tabloids' fave tennis stars up close -- our very own Washington Kastles boast Serena Williams (playing July 14). You can also catch Anna Kournikova (July 8), John McEnroe (July 16) and Serena's sis, Venus Williams (July 7). See the full schedule here.
Washington's home games are held at Kastles Stadium at CityCenter DC (11th & H streets NW). Tickets range from $45-65. The Lacoste shirt costs extra.
