Money is not a problem for elite NFL signal-callers.
Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen have more in common than just their desire for Super Bowl rings – they all make boatloads of cash playing one of the most lucrative positions in sports.
Rodgers, the highest-paid player in the NFL this past season, was set to make a whopping $50.3 million in 2023 during the 39-year-old quarterback's first season with the New York Jets before restructuring his deal -- a contract that won't change, even after his season-ending injury.
Mahomes, meanwhile, is coming off his second Super Bowl title and is sitting comfortable after inking a massive, 10-year deal with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2020. He added to his deal on Monday, restructuring his contract to receive a raise for the next several seasons.
Despite their combined success, neither Rodgers nor Mahomes are set to be the highest-paid QB in 2023.

He soared into the top spot for average annual value on April 17 after landing a five-year, $255 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal included nearly $180 million in guarantees, the second-most for a player in NFL history.
Just 10 days later, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reached a record-breaking extension with a five-year deal for $260 million, making him the NFL’s highest-paid player.
Justin Herbert took the belt from Jackson right as teams returned to the field for training camps. The Los Angeles Chargers signal-caller inked a reported five-year, $262.5 million extension, giving him the highest average annual salary in the NFL. Herbert’s deal reportedly comes with $133.7 million fully guaranteed and a potential guarantee of $218.7 million.
The latest became Joe Burrow on opening night Thursday. The Cincinnati Bengals and Burrow reportedly agreed to a five-year, $275 million extension, which makes the 26-year-old quarterback the highest-paid player in NFL history.
Mahomes still isn't the highest-paid on an average basis, but his restructured deal does bump him into the upper echelon of QB salaries. The two-time MVP reportedly is set to make $210.6 million from 2023 to 2026, the most money ever over a four-year span.
