Rui Hachimura sports a Yu Darvish shirt: 'He's my guy' originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
As he sat down for a postgame press conference following the Wizards' 106-92 win over the Pistons Saturday night, Rui Hachimura was clearly wearing a Yu Darvish shirt.
When asked about it, the second-year forward from Japan got excited to talk about his fellow countryman.

"Ayy, he's my guy," Hachimura said. "He actually wore my shirts a couple weeks ago on media day so I just wanted to show him love."
Darvish has been one of the best pitchers in Major League Baseball for almost a decade. He's one of the biggest Japanese stars in American sports, and as Hachimura goes through his basketball career, Darvish has been there to provide support.
"I always looked up to him like a big brother," Hachimura said. "He's always teaching me stuff. The lifestyle, having to deal with the media, how to deal with the people, that kind of stuff."
Word of Hachimura's postgame attire got to Darvish rather quickly.
The tweet translates to "I have to buy a new Hachimura T-shirt."
Darvish is set to begin his first year with the Padres in 2021, and he's been tabbed as the Opening Day starter for a San Diego team looking to make some serious noise in the National League.
