The Washington Red Wolves train continues to grow as each day passes.
What originally started as an idea for former Washington cornerback Fred Smoot, the Washington Red Wolves has turned into a full-on fan movement. On social media, and particularly with the younger generation of Washington fans, Red Wolves is the favorite for the team's next moniker.
In a recent NBC Sports Washington poll, Red Wolves was the clear frontrunner for the fan's choice of the team's next name. Former Washington pass rusher Junior Galette has stated multiple times he believes Red Wolves will be the new name. Even Washington defensive lineman Matt Ioannidis slightly hinted at the idea in a recent Instagram post.
A select number of Washington fans have gone a step further and created multiple potential Red Wolves logos and uniform designs. Here is a look at five of the newest creations:
