Was Kuznetsov scared about COVID symptoms? 'No, I'm from Russia' originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
When Capitals star centerman Evgeny Kuznetsov was asked if he was ever scared due to the COVID-19 symptoms he was experiencing over these last two weeks, he gave the perfect answer.
"No, I'm from Russia. There's not a lot that can scare me," Kuznetsov said.
Fully recovered now, Kuznetsov said he gained a new understanding of what others have gone through during this pandemic before expressing his appreciation to be healthy again.
"I'm just happy I'm alive today and can practice with my teammates," Kuznetsov said. "It's just a big step for me."

Kuznetsov couldn't do any conditioning until Monday when he addressed media for the first time since going into quarantine and on the NHL's protocol-related absence list. His lack of conditioning wasn't the hardest part, though.
"Just being by myself and not being able to talk to anyone. I'm a very social person and I need to see people, talk to people and be with people. That was the biggest challenge for me," Kuznetsov said.
