McLaurin questionable vs. Chiefs with hamstring injury originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
Terry McLaurin was a surprise addition to Washington's injury report after not practicing on Friday, and he's now listed as questionable for the team's Week 6 matchup with the Chiefs.
Ron Rivera informed reporters McLaurin was feeling "tight and sore" in his hamstring, and that the plan was to be careful with him. McLaurin not participating in practice is an example of the team operating "out of an abundance of caution," per Rivera.
McLaurin's addition to the injury report piles on to a long list of injuries Washington has had to deal with in recent weeks. They're already expected to be without offensive linemen Brandon Scherff and Sam Cosmi, wide receivers Curtis Samuel and Cam Sims and linebacker Jared Norris, while wide receiver Dyami Brown and tight end Sammis Reyes are listed as questionable along with McLaurin.
Add on the fact that McLaurin has been the biggest contributor to the offense this year, and it's clear Washington can ill-afford to lose their No. 1 receiver. The third-year wideout has 29 catches for 400 yards and three touchdowns. Washington's second-leading receiver (Adam Humphries) has 14 receptions for 153 yards.
If McLaurin has to sit this week against Kansas City, it'll be just the fourth missed game of his career. He's made 34 starts in the 34 games he's been able to play since entering the league in 2019.
