The offseason is for recuperation, rest, and quality family time.
That's exactly what Alex Ovechkin is doing back in his homeland of Russia with his son Sergei, and his wife, Nastya, as the family took in a big-time KHL contest on the ice between the Russian capital's two rivals, Dynamo Moscow and CSKA Moscow.
Ovechkin, of course, began his pro career with Dynamo in 2001 as a 16 year old. That's where he played 151 games before making the move to the NHL in 205. He returned for 31 games during the 2012-13 NHL lockout.
It ended up being a thrilling game for the Ovechkins to watch. Dynamo held off the KHL leaders with a 4-3 win over CSKA on Sunday.
