The Orioles' bats were held in check all night against the Indians on Friday. That is, until the seventh inning when Ryan Mountcastle uncorked a two-run blast to give his team a late lead.

Later in the eighth inning, Anthony Santander hit a sac fly to score another run and the O's ultimately held on to a 3-1 lead to win their third straight game. Baltimore has yet to lose in the month of June.

Mountcastle hasn't been as good at the plate this season after a strong start to his career in the shortened 2020 campaign. Following Friday's game, the young first baseman is hitting .238 with seven home runs and 27 RBI to go along with a .678 OPS.

Most of Mountcastle's struggles came in the first month of the year, where he hit below .200 and struck out 30 times in 91 at-bats. Now that he's made a few adjustments, he's starting to show more of the promise Baltimore fans saw a year ago.

The Orioles are back in action against Cleveland on Saturday at 4:05 p.m. as they look for a fourth consecutive victory.
