Looking back at the incredible moment Juan Soto and his father shared after the NL Wild Card win

The connection a dad shares with his kids is a bond like nothing else, and the relationships professional athletes share with their fathers is no different.

In honor of Father's Day, it's only right to revisit one of the best-shared baseball moments between a father and son, involving Nationals outfielder Juan Soto and his father Juan Jose Soto.

The defining moment involving Soto in the 2019 NL Wild Card game against the Milwaukee Brewers will always be his clutch knock in the bottom of the eighth to give the Nationals a lead they would not relinquish. In the biggest moment of the season to that point, he helped kickstart a World Series run.

However, that night also brought out another emotional moment. Following the win, Juan Jose Soto burst onto the field and jumped on the back of his son, bringing him to the ground as the two celebrated the incredible victory. Later during an on-the-field interview, Juan Soto had his arm wrapped around his father, who was wiping away tears of joy.

In that instance, it was easy to see the love the two have for each other and the pride Juan Jose Soto had in his son. Baseball has been something the two have shared since Juan Soto was six months old, and now on the biggest stage, Juan Jose got the chance to see his son shine. Soto was equally emotional as every at-bat he takes is dedicated to his family, as they helped him get to where he is today.

Moments like this one are what truly make sports special.
