How to watch Capitals vs. Rangers originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington
The Capitals play host to the New York Rangers on Sunday as they look to stop a three-game losing streak with the regular season winding down.
Washington (34-33-9) enters the matchup with 77 points on the season, seven back of the Pittsburgh Penguins for the second Wild Card spot in the East. New York (44-21-10) has already clinched a playoff berth and, with 98 points heading into Friday's game against the Buffalo Sabres, still has a chance of surpassing both the Carolina Hurricanes (103 points) and New Jersey Devils (102) for a higher seed.

CAPITALS VS. RANGERS WHAT TO WATCH
From NBC Sports Washington's Ethan Cadeaux:
"Thursday's loss was the third straight game the Capitals have dropped and marked their sixth loss in their last seven games. Back-to-backs have not been kind to the Capitals this season; Thursday's loss moved Washington to 2-7-1 in back-to-backs this year. With just six games remaining and seven points back of Pittsburgh for the final Wild Card spot, Washington's postseason hopes hang on by just the slightest of margins." Read more
CAPITALS VS. RANGERS PLAYERS TO WATCH
Alex Ovechkin, Capitals (70 games, 42 goals, 30 assists): Ovechkin has remained as potent a goal-scorer as ever in his age-37 season. He's on pace to finish the season strong after tallying 15 points in 13 games during the month of March.
Artemi Panarin, LW, Rangers (75 games, 25 goals, 59 assists): Having already eclipsed 80 points for the fifth time in the last six seasons, Panarin is a force to be reckoned with for the Rangers. He's one of just seven players with 25+ assists both on the power play and at even strength.
