How to Watch Washington Capitals Vs. Carolina Hurricanes in the Stadium Series

How to watch Capitals vs. Hurricanes in the Stadium Series originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington

The Capitals are fresh off their first spell of the season in which they lost three straight home games in regulation. Most recently, a late surge couldn't save them against a high-powered Florida Panthers offense in a 6-3 loss on Thursday night.

But what's a better way to turn things around than in a coveted outdoor game? That's right, the Caps' next chance to get back in the win column will be against the Carolina Hurricanes in the annual Stadium Series game at Carter-Finlay Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Washington is 3-0 in outdoor games in their history, so they're hoping their luck will continue against a Hurricanes team that is red hot, having won 10 of their last 11 games, including a 3-2 victory over Washington on Valentine's Day.

Here's everything you need to know about the matchup.

CAPITALS VS. HURRICANES PLAYERS TO WATCH

Capitals: Evgeny Kuznetsov, C (56 games, 9 goals, 36 assists): With Alex Ovechkin still unavailable as he grieves the loss of his father, Washington's second-highest scorer in Kuznetsov will hope to pick up the slack in the Stadium Series and finally reach double-digit goals on the season.

Hurricanes: Martin Necas, C (54 games, 21 goals, 27 assists): Necas is tied with Sebastian Aho as the leading scorers for the Hurricanes. As a second-line center, Washington's second units will have trouble containing the 24-year-old.
