Bradley Beal Ties Michael Jordan in Impressive Scoring Stat

Few players can say their name is right next to Michael Jordan in the NBA history books, but Bradley Beal is someone who can.

The Wizards have played 13 games so far this season and Beal has scored at least 25 points in every single one of them. That's good for the third-best streak to start a season, tied with Michael Jordan's start in 1986-87. That season was the best scoring season of Jordan's career, where he averaged 37.1 points per game to lead the league.

The two streaks better than Beal right now belong to Jordan himself, who had a 16-game streak to start the 1988-89 season and Wilt Chamberlain. Chamberlain had at least 25 points in all 80 games during the 1961-62 season, which just so happens to be the year he averaged 50.4 points per game.

Beal's scoring prowess has been a bright spot for the struggling Wizards. He currently leads the league in scoring at roughly 34 points per game and has managed to improve from last year where he averaged over 30 for the first time in his career.

If Beal is going to pass Jordan altogether and trail Chamberlain alone, he'll have to score 25 against the Hawks, Nets, Trail Blazers and Heat.
