With MLB's new extra inning rule of a runner starting the inning on second base, Orioles centerfielder Austin Hays took advantage against the Phillies Tuesday night.
Hays got a hold of one in the 10th inning and hit a ball to centerfield, but with the defense playing aggressive due to the runner on second base, Philadelphia centerfielder Roman Quinn's dive wasn't enough to make a spectacular catch and prevent a run.
Instead, the Orioles got two.
With the ball at the warning track, Hays took all four bases to give the Orioles a two-run lead over the Phillies.
It was the first inside-the-park home run for the Orioles since September 2011, when Robert Andino took all four bases against the Red Sox.
