Nationals Win In Extra Innings Thanks To Unfortunate Astros Error

The Washington Nationals began a 10-game road trip Monday, opening a four-game series with the MLB-worst Houston Astros, who entered the game having lost 30 of their last 34 games.

The Nats opened a 4-1 lead, but perhaps unexpectedly, the Astros tied the game at 4-4 in the ninth. In extra innings, Houston remembered why they are the league's worst team and reminded all of us that you can't spell disastrous without "astro."

Kurt Suzuki laid down a bunt in the top of the 11th with Roger Bernadina on first. Brent Wallace and Wilton Lopez collided trying to field the ball, which Wallace corralled and threw into the outfield trying to get Suzuki at first.

Bernadina sprinted around the bases -- completely ignoring third base coach Bo Porter's signal to hold up at third -- and scored the game-winning run. The Astros committed two errors on the play. There was also a lot of tripping and flailing involved, but unfortunately, they don't keep records of those.

My description truly doesn't do it justice, so watch this:

Again, disASTROus.
