Producer Mark Ronson and singer Katy B.'s "Anywhere In The World," the official theme song of Coca-Cola's 2012 Summer Olympics campaign, is a unique infusion of music and sound. Ronson took the natural sounds of five Olympic hopefuls in training and combined it with his Grammy-winning productions to create what could be one of the anthems of this summer's Olympics in London.
"I'd kind of enjoyed the challenge of a different way of recording," Ronson said to Rolling Stone Monday. "It's kind of a science project. That's what makes it fun to me. That's what stimulates my brain."
One of the athletes involved -- and the only American athlete included -- is hurdler David Oliver, who graduated from Howard University in 2005 as a two-time All-American and won a bronze medal at the 2008 Beijing Games in the 110-meter hurdle.
Oliver makes several appearances in the video, but his full cameo is around the 3:20 mark:
If Oliver can couple his commercial cameo with a strong run (no pun intended) in the Olympics, then he could become one of Howard's most famous alums worldwide. Somewhere, fellow Howard attendee Diddy is getting jealous.
