High Praise for the Head Hoya

If ever you leave one job for another, you would want praise like this from your former boss! Georgetown legend Patrick Ewing is leaving his job as associate head coach of the Charlotte Hornets to take over the Hoyas basketball program. Ewing received a standing ovation from Hornets players and coaches as he said goodbye at Verizon Center Tuesday. Head coach Steve Clifford and players Marvin Williams and Kemba Walker said Ewing’s impact on the Hornets is clear, and they expect him to make an impact at Georgetown, too. The Hornets are in town to take on the Wizards.
