Virginia has identified 10 transportation projects that are candidates for public-private partnerships.
The list released Monday by Gov. Bob McDonnell includes improvements to the Interstate 66 and Interstate 73 corridors, a Route 460-Interstate 85 connector and an extension of express lanes on Interstate 495.
McDonnell says enough work has been done on these projects to move them through the screening process.
The list also includes 10 conceptual projects. These projects need additional business and financial analysis before they are moved to the screening process. They include electric car charging stations at rest areas and new park and ride facilities.
The Office of Transportation Public Private Partnerships will accept public comment on the projects through Aug 1.
