The convicted teen shooter who sparked a massive manhunt after escaping from an Ohio prison is in custody, a law enforcement official told NBC News. The search ensued Thursday evening for Thomas “T.J.” Lane, 19, who is serving life in prison for a deadly shooting spree at his high school in Ohio. Lane killed three students in a shooting at Chardon High School in 2012, and escaped with two other inmates who were both brought into custody at separate times during the night. Chardon Local School District had cancelled Friday's classes amid the manhunt.
