President Obama has raised his bowling score from ridiculous to respectable.
After rolling a cringe worthy 37 last year during a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, the otherwise athletic Obama found himself the butt of brutal bowling alley barbs. But according to the Chicago Tribune, the commander-in-chief struck back over the weekend with a 144. The solid, if not spectacular, score was reported by White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs.
"144," Gibbs proclaimed to skeptical reporters Monday. "You seem to doubt. I watched ... the last four throws, three strikes and a nine.
"I told the president, 'Look, if you had done this in Pennsylvania, my life would have been a little easier.' "
