Talk show host and interior design guru Nate Berkus was felled by a little interior problem of his own - a case of appendicitis - while filming a segment for a morning show on November 30, reports People.
"He was on the Today show this morning and he wasn't feeling well," said a rep for the company that produces The Nate Berkus Show. "He powered through and then went straight to the hospital after that and they learned he had appendicitis."
Berkus mentioned that he was under the weather to producers, but he wanted to finish the piece before seeking treatment.
His doctors will schedule an appendectomy and, according to the rep, it's "anticipated that he will be back next week."
Berkus, 39, came to prominence through his association with Oprah Winfrey. She often had the Chicago-based designer on her show to dispense home design tips to her audience.
