“The Truth Lives Here.” Or, at least that’s the slogan for Fox News’ outspoken host Glenn Beck. Mediabistro’s TVNewser reports that once Beck abdicates his Fox News throne, he’ll focus his time on GBTV.com, which his media company, Mercury Radio Arts, acquired in January. The New York Times reported back in March that Beck was considering either a cable channel or further pronouncing himself on the web. Mediabistro notes that Beck already has subscribers who pay for premium content on his current site through an “InsiderExtreme” membership. Another big announcement for Beck’s media company? They recently purchased MarkDown.com, a group discount site that’s similar to collective coupons and discounts.
