If her husband's itchy thumbs are to be believed, Jane Goldman, who co-wrote "Kick-Ass," has been tasked with scripting the upcoming X-Men prequel.
"G'night all. The wife is away writing X Men 4 so I am off to bed with little Sweeney alone. He will keep my feet warm and my spirits high," read a tweet posted by British TV personality Jonathan Ross Monday night.
This, not surprisingly, kicked off some cyber-chatter about ""X-Men: First Class," and so for clarification Ross posted a follow-up roughly nine hours later.
"I am afraid I better not answer any more queries re X Men First Class for fear of spoilers and also possible divorce. Thank you."
Goldman's involvement should come as no surprise in the wake of the news that "Kick-Ass" director Matthew Vaughn has been hired to direct "X Men 4." Goldman has a screenwriting credit on each of Vaughn's last two films, "Kick-Ass" and "Stardust."
And while we're on the topic, the box-office returns on "Kick-Ass" have been criminally low -- if you haven't seen it, do so, it's a ripping good time.
