Metro closed a station in Reston, Virginia, after a report of a flame under an out-of-service train.
The Fairfax County Fire Department was called to Wiehle-Reston East Station about 8:30 p.m.
Only the train's operator was aboard, and no one was injured, but a fire stand pipe broke, causing water to flow onto the platform, forcing the evacuation and closure of the station.
Metro requested Fairfax Connector buses between Wiehle-Reston East and the Spring Hill Station.
The fire is out, and everything is back to normal at Wiehle-Reston East. It was electrical in nature.
