School cancelations are coming in for Wednesday as the D.C. area still works to clear roads and school parking lots from Monday's snow.
D.C. Public Schools and the city's government offices will open on time Wednesday. But families should expect another snow day for most other school districts in the region.

Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) will be closed. The school system declared a "code blue" with liberal leave for employees.
Calvert County Public Schools (CCPS) will be closed. All after school and evening activities are canceled, and the school district declared a "code yellow" for employees.
Charles County Public Schools (CCPS) will be closed. Staff are on a two-hour delay. School officials said some back roads, neighborhood roads and walkways and sidewalks leading to some schools still weren't cleared as of 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Frederick County Public Schools (FCPS) will open two hours late Wednesday. Offices will open on time.
Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) will be closed again Wednesday. MCPS offices also will be closed, and all activities, programs and sports on school grounds will be canceled. Emergency personnel should report on time. School officials said persistently cold temperatures and vehicles left in school parking lots are making it difficult for crews to clear snow and ice. MCPS urged people who left their vehicles in parking lots to move them immediately.
"The county continues its efforts to remove snow and ice from public roads, sidewalks, and other critical areas to ensure safe access for everyone. These efforts are essential to address hazards, making sure that our educators and staff can safely reach schools, in order to reopen and allow students to return to school," MCPS said.
Prince George's County Public Schools (PGCPS) will be closed Wednesday. Offices will also be closed. Only emergency personnel must report to work. Families can pick up means for students at five different county schools. Go here for more information.
St. Maryβs County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday with a "code 2" for staff.
School closings in Virginia for Wednesday, Jan. 8:
Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS) will be closed for in-person learning and activities. Staff will participate in a virtual workday, dependent on work assignments and locations, the district said. Class times will include virtual teacher-led office hours and asynchronous instruction times, ACPS said.
Culpeper County Public Schools (CCPS) already announced it would close classes for Wednesday. However, Wednesday will be a workday for staff.
Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) will be closed. School offices and central offices will open at 11 a.m. Extracurricular activities are canceled, as well as homebound and home-based instruction. Central and school office 12-month employees should report to work pending safety and childcare concerns, FCPS said.
Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) will be closed and all school-based activities are canceled. Central office staff and district administrators should report to work when it's safe, the district said.
Fredericksburg City Public Schools will be closed due to road conditions and low temperatures. Essential workers will need to report on time. Twelve-month employees should report at 10 a.m.
Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS) will be closed. Its administrative offices also will be closed. LCPS said Wednesday afternoon campuses were allowed to reopen at 4 p.m. for scheduled activities. Go here for more information.

Manassas Park City Schools (MPCS) will be closed Wednesday due to remaining snow and ice.
Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS) will be closed due to poor conditions on some secondary and neighborhood roads. The school district declared a "code green" for students and teachers. Employees pay grade 13 and above, as well as 250-day employees, should report at 10 a.m. "The closure will allow additional time for VDOT to clear neighborhood roads, making them safer for buses," the school system said.
Stafford County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday.
