Virginia Senate Votes to Allow Guns in Churches
Virginia’s Senate voted this week to repeal a longstanding ban on carrying weapons during worship services. Troy Corwin of Park Valley Church in Haymarket said the Bible backs keeping churches safe. “In Nehemiah 4:9, it says, ‘But we pray to our God and we posted a guard day and night to meet the threat.’ And that’s kind of the stance we take here,” said Corwin, a former police officer. Members of the group Mom Demands Action said guns don’t belong in churches. News4’s David Culver reports.
