DC traffic uptick: DDOT urges public transit use as federal workers return to offices
Many D.C. streets saw more traffic Monday, as thousands of federal workers were told to return to offices full-time. DDOT Director Sharon Kershbaum told News4’s Adam Tuss the real answer to reducing traffic is using the Metro and bus system. ”I think people hope that DDOT can do something about traffic and fix it with some signal timing. But the reality is we fix it when people start choosing to use transit,” she said.
