Even bank robbers can get into the holiday spirit.
A woman robbed a bank in Spotsylvania County on Wednesday and shouted "Merry Christmas" before she left, authorities said.
Spotsylvana County Sheriff's Lt. Col Michael Timm told The Free Lance-Star that the woman walked up to a teller at the Virginia Commerce Bank, told the worker she was being robbed and demanded money. The woman repeated the demand to the next teller, and said she had a gun.
No weapon was displayed.
Police are searching for the woman.
