A 17-year-old girl was shot in the face in a field behind a boathouse on the campus of St. John's College over the weekend, Annapolis police said.

The shooting occurred about 12:15 a.m. Sunday behind the Hodson Boathouse, which was being rented out for a private party, Police Cpl. Jon Supko told The Capital of Annapolis.

The girl was shot in the upper jaw area, Supko said. She was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore in stable condition.
