Check your wallets! Two Virginia lottery tickets worth a combined $4 million are just weeks away from expiring, lottery officials announced Friday.
Both tickets were purchased in northern Virginia and will expire in March.
Someone bought a Powerball ticket for the Sept. 2, 2017 drawing at a Sunoco at 4647 West Ox Road in Fairfax. Lottery officails say the store is now a 7-Eleven.
The ticket matched all five winning numbers for the drawing: 6-21-41-52-62 and the Powerball number was 26. The ticket matched the first five numbers of the drawing, netting a $1 million prize.
The ticket will expire March 1.
A $3 million winning lottery ticket from a Mega Millions’ drawing three days later also remains unclaimed.
The ticket — which was bought at a Giant Food store on South Bank Street in Sterling, Virginia — matched the first five numbers of the Mega Millions drawing, only missing the Mega Ball number.

The winning numbers for the Sept. 5 drawings were 11-17-59-70-72, and the Mega Ball number was 1.
Usually, five numbers matching would be worth a $1 million prize; however, the ticket-purchaser spent an additional $1 to multiply potential winnings by three, equaling $3 million
Whoeer has the ticket has until March 5 to turn it in. Unclaimed winnings go to the state's Literary Fund.
