Sex Abuse Charges Dropped for Bethesda Camp Counselor

All charges against a Montgomery County camp counselor accused of sex abuse have been dropped due to lack of evidence.

Jose Valenzuela, who taught magic classes at Holton-Arms Creative Center in Bethesda, was arrested July 10 after an 11-year-old girl accused him of touching her innapropriately.

He was charged with third-degree sex offense and sex abuse of a minor. Both charges were dropped Friday morning.

Prosecutors said there was not enough evidence to prosecute the case.
