As snow began to cast a thicker blanket over the D.C. region, closings for Wednesday (Feb. 11) are beginning to come in. Here's what's been called so far for the greater area:
Washington, D.C.:
D.C. Public Schools will be closed Wednesday due to the snowstorm, Mayor Muriel Bowser announced. The D.C. government will open on a delay at 10 a.m.

Montgomery County Public Schools and offices will be closed Wednesday. All activities, field trips, athletic practices and events will be canceled. Childcare programs and community use activities are also canceled. Emergency personnel should report on time.
Prince George’s County Public Schools and offices will be closed due to the snow. School officials said PGCPS is operating on Code Yellow, and only emergency personnel must report to work.
Virginia:

Alexandria City Public Schools will have synchronous virtual learning for students and a virtual workday for staff, with in-person locations closed. Parents and guardians can find information on tomorrow's virtual learning plan, plus inclement weather meal distribution, on ACPS' website here.
Arlington Public Schools and offices will be closed tomorrow. Extracurricular activities, games, team practices, field trips, adult education classes and other programs are canceled. Custodial and maintenance staff should report to work at their scheduled time unless otherwise told by their supervisors.
Culpeper County Schools will be closed Wednesday. Twelve-month employees should not report. Essential personnel and custodians should report at noon.
Fairfax County Public Schools and offices will be closed tomorrow. Extracurricular activities, team practices, field trips and other activities and programs will also be canceled. Homebound and home-based instruction is canceled. Essential personnel should follow their supervisors' direction. Emergency administrative leave is authorized for all other staff.
Fauquier County Public Schools and offices will be closed Wednesday. All activities are canceled. Essential personnel should report at 11 a.m.
Fredericksburg Public Schools will be closed Wednesday.
Loudoun County Public Schools and offices also are closed tomorrow. All activities on school grounds are canceled.
Manassas Park City Schools will be closed, with Code RED for employees.
Manassas City Public Schools and offices will be closed, with Code BLUE for employees.
Prince William County Public Schools and offices will have a Code Red closure.
Stafford County Public Schools will be closed Wednesday. All activities and events will be cancelled. Staff should telework as duties permit.
Spotsylvania County Schools and office will be closed Wednesday . All school-sponsored activities, including student externships, are cancelled for tomorrow. School employees: Code 1 - essential personnel should report to perform emergency services as necessary.
Stafford County Schools will be closed Wednesday. All activities and events scheduled for tomorrow are cancelled.
