A salt truck’s payload got wedged under an overpass on Interstate 270 in Montgomery County, Md., Wednesday evening.
The driver told News4's Mark Segraves he forgot to lower the payload, which completely unhinged from the truck bed and became lodged under the Muddy Branch Road overpass, briefly shutting down two lanes of Muddy Branch Road.
The driver was salting roads for the Maryland State Highway Administration. His payload was empty, and he was not hurt.
The overpass was checked for damage but was fine.
