A man was shot to death inside a Foot Locker store near a Maryland mall Thursday evening.

Dominique Hodge, 24, of D.C. was shot before 6 p.m. as employees and customers were in the store near the entrance to The Shops at Iverson in Hillcrest Heights.

An officer saw three suspects near the shooting scene, police said. They allegedly ran away, but the officer caught one of them 19-year-old Andres Rodriguez-Corona of Waldorf. He’s charged with first- and second-degree murder.

Police said they caught 22-year-old Carl Sanders of D.C. a few hours later during a traffic stop. Officers allegedly found two unregistered ghost guns in his car. Sanders is charged with firearms offenses. A third suspect is still on the loose.

Investigators worked their way around mannequins dressed in sportswear as they documented the shooting scene.

The Foot Locker has interior cameras as part of its security setup.

Police said if the video inside from inside the store has any evidentiary value and might identify a suspect, they’ll release it to the public.

A Prince George’s County police crime camera is in the parking lot. It was installed after customers and employees expressed safety concerns.

Last year, a man and teen girl were shot in the parking garage, and a security guard was maced.

Two years ago, three people were shot after a fight between groups.

Prince George’s County police said crime has gone down in the Iverson Mall area by 22% compared to this time last year.

News4 reached out to Foot Locker for comment but has not heard back.
