A Prince George’s County firefighter rescued a dog from an icy culvert in Hyattsville, Maryland, on Friday afternoon.
Battalion Chief Bryan Spies said the dog was wet and frozen when he was taken from the water. He said firefighters took the dog to the fire station and called animal services.
Spies said there was no chip found on the dog, and it was not wearing a collar. Firefighter Jesse McCullough, the one who rescued the dog, said he would possibly adopt the animal if the owner did not come forward.
