News4 has learned Clerk of Circuit Court in Prince George's County Marilynn Bland was reportedly assaulted by her chief of staff, David Billings.
Prince George's County Bureau Chief Tracee Wilkins reports the incident occurred Wednesday as Bland was walking away from Billings following an argument in her office. Bland reportedly grabbed her by the arm and pull her back. Her injuries are unknown.
Billings was arrested by sheriff's deputies and is facing one charge of second degree assault.
The Washington Post reported in November 2010 Bland was accused of assault while serving on Prince George's County City Council.
