At least three people were shot Tuesday afternoon on Pennsylvania Avenue SE, and police are now searching for between two and four juvenile men in dark clothing who fled the scene.
All three of the shooting victims were conscious and breathing when police confirmed that the shooting took place in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Ave., near the Minnesota Avenue post office, just after 3 p.m. Tuesday.
The shattered glass front door of a nearby market could be seen from the street, surrounded by crime tape. Around 15 shell casings were marked with evidence markers on the sidewalk outside.
The three victims, all adult men, have not been identified. They are expected to survive, police said. A fourth victim may have self-transported to the hospital, though police were trying to determine if that person was related to the shooting as of 4:15 p.m. Tuesday.
